June Roundup

I'm writing to you today from a little bakery/cafe in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and let me tell you, I am a happy camper. This is the first place I've found since I was in Phoenix (over a week ago) that serves really great coffee.

Not only am I having great coffee, but I saw a moose today on a hike.

None of that has anything to do with the following images, but it does explain why halfway through July I am blogging my June self portraits. Since I've been in the American Outback I've had plenty of access to nature, but close to no access to internet.

So after much to-do, here are the best self portraits last month has to offer.

Behind the Scenes

I've been wanting to do something like this for a while... a more extensive behind the scenes for a self portrait shoot. I simply haven't entered the world of video. Today was the day.

The first thing I did when I woke up was (scroll through the internet for half an hour, but when I actually got out of bed) I threw on this shirt and made the following video.

What is so shocking about this is that I had no previous intention of making video behind the scenes. When my feet hit the floor I knew how I was spending my day.

Below are the finals from the little shoot above.

May Self Portraits

This was a crazy month. With everything that has been going on I am thoroughly amazed that I've had time for self portraits let alone self portraits that I am so, so proud of.

I just moved into a new place. So, you'll notice a little shift in my natural light options. I am truly loving it so far, and I'm excited to shoot more in here!
